Naukuchiatal is a small scenic lake village located in the state of Uttarakhand.
Naukuchiatal : as the name suggests, is a lake with ‘Nine Corners’. This lake is 1220 meters above the sea level, 175 feet deep; making it the deepest lake in the Nainital region.
As per the local legends, this lake was formed by the blessings of Lord ‘Bramha’. A small temple of Lord Brahma is also located on the banks of the lake. Legend is that doing a “parikrama” of the lake will bestow blessings from the Lord Brahma himself.
Naukuchiatal is just 26 kms from the ever-buzzing Nainital. It offers nature in its purest forms with deep dense forests and resorts in naukuchiatal near lake. It’s lush valleys, vibrant orchards and oak forests provide an enchanting appeal to the soul in solitude.

How to Reach
Naukuchiatal is very well connected from Delhi and Lucknow.
Nest & Hives is 26 km from rail head @ kathgodam (1 hours drive). There are overnight train/s from Delhi and Lucknow. And also a daily shatabdi from Delhi (starts @6am from New Delhi and reaches @11.30am last stop kathgodam). Nearest Airport is @pantnagar.
One can drive approx 300 km (comfortable 6/7 hrs drive) from Delhi : Route # Ghaziabad – Gajraula (stop for bfast McD/Bikaner/ Burgerking/Domino’s/ KFC/ Moga etc) – Moradabad byepass – Rampur – Rudrapur – Haldwani – Kathgodam – Bhimtal – Naukuchiatal. One can take a more pleasant and drive through the jungle (turn left into ring road before entering Rampur – Swar – Bazpur – Kaladhungi – Haldwani).
From Lucknow one can reach via Bareilly – Haldwani
Nainital is only 25 km from the resort.
